Surgical Instructions

General Instructions before your procedure:

Each patient must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will remain in the office during the procedure and then drive the patient home.
On the day of your appointment, please wear loose fitting clothes that have sleeves that roll up past your elbow.
Please do not eat or drink anything (including water) for at least 6 hours before your appointment.
Please do not smoke for at least 12 hours prior surgery. If at all possible, patients should cut down or stop smoking as soon as possible before the day of surgery.
Do not operate or drive any heavy machinery for 24 hours following the anesthesia experience.
On the day of your appointment, please do not wear the following:
- Contacts
- Jewelry
- Lipstick
- Excessive makeup or nail polish
If you come down with a cold, sore throat, or upset stomach, please let us know.
If you regularly take medications, please check with Dr. Jensen or Dr. Primavera prior to your surgery date for further instructions.
